TEDx Southampton

I’m a TEDx speaker.

I know - it’s a little surreal to say the least!

And in fact, it was one of those things that had been on (and off) the cards for such a long time I had travelled a real rollercoaster of emotions. After all, I was an understudy. As the date grew nearer, I convinced myself I wouldn’t make the programme. I felt a bit funny about the fact that if I got to present, it would probably be because someone else was ill. And there was a little bit of imposter syndrome nibbling at the back of my mind.

Then came the call.

I’m in.

Jeepers!

I’d best buy a frock and start practicing my lines again!

And do you know the best thing?

I wasn’t in because someone else was out. I was in because there was room to add me.

Below is an image the the very talented Emma Paxton captured of my presentation. Clever hey?

If you’d like to watch it for yourself - just hit the image and you’ll be whisked off to YouTube.
